Attendance Assistant job summary

We currently have a vacancy for an Attendance Assistant to join our school attendance team to support students whose education is at risk due to attendance related issues. The successful candidate will monitor attendance and support parents and students with any issues to reduce persistent absence. Some home visits may be necessary and the candidate must have access to their own transport. This post is based at Cardinal Wiseman School in Coventry but you may be required to visit other schools in our Academy, all of which are in Coventry.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a Grade C/ Level 4 or above in Maths and English GCSE’s or equivalent
  • Be a dedicated professional with the ability to inspire children
  • Work successfully in partnership with parents and our community
  • Be committed to promoting the Catholic ethos of our school;
  • Be a team player with good interpersonal skills and able to multi-task in a busy environment;
  • Be energetic, enthusiastic and caring;
  • Be able to show excellent organisational and communication skills with both children and colleagues
