What skills and experience we're looking for

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well‑established, tight‑knit pastoral team that is deeply committed to ensuring every student feels safe, supported and able to thrive. As our Attendance, Behaviour and Welfare Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the daily experience of young people – working alongside experienced colleagues who value collaboration, professional trust and shared problem‑solving. You’ll take the lead on driving high‑quality attendance practice, overseeing first‑day response systems, home‑visit coordination and the monitoring of key cohorts such as those who are persistently absent. Your work will directly influence whole‑school culture, ensuring that every child is known, understood and given the right support at the right time.

You will also be at the heart of our behaviour and inclusion strategy, using data insight to spot trends, guide interventions and strengthen our inclusive ethos. As a safeguarding officer, you’ll contribute to the school’s robust safeguarding culture, working closely with the DSL, pastoral leaders and external agencies to support vulnerable students. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference every day – whether through co-ordinating Early Help processes, supporting multi‑agency work, or building strong relationships with families. If you’re passionate about student welfare, confident with data, and eager to join a dedicated team that values expertise and compassion in equal measure, this is a role where you can truly have impact.

Our core purpose of 'Achievement for All' encourages every student to develop their skills, interests and talents, not just through academic achievement but also through a rich variety of enrichment opportunities including house competitions, extra-curricular clubs, trips and visits.
