What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an energetic and positive individual, who values young people and their learning, to be involved in supporting young people within our onsite alternative provision.
Our aim is to improve the outcomes and life chances of vulnerable young people with complex needs and to help them realise their full potential.
Your work will involve supporting small groups with their academic and social emotional development. The curriculum in this provision will also provide the students with opportunities and strategies to develop personal resilience in meeting the barriers to their progress.
Experience of supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health need is essential, as is experience of a PACE or THRIVE approach to learning, experience in a school, competent use of ICT and good interpersonal skills. An awareness of the safeguarding framework in schools is desirable, although all staff will complete annual safeguarding training.
