Attendance Officer job summary

Working at Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School we wish to appoint an exceptional individual to increase school attendance and address issues affecting attendance with our students. This role will work with both students, families, staff and other agencies to identify pupils who are not achieving full attendance and building the capacity and expertise within our school to address attendance issues.

You will manage a case load of students with additional needs and their families. This will involve home visits to families in our school community. You will also manage our Attendance Assistant.

The successful candidate will:

Demonstrate a successful track record of intervention work with children, young people and their families

Have experience in supporting and engaging hard to reach families and delivering packages of support

Have experience of undertaking Early Help assessments and current Child Protection procedures

Have excellent organisational and communication skills

Be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and develop positive relationships
