Reporting to:
Senior Assistant Headteacher and Senior Attendance Champion
Liaising with:
Directors of Learning, Heads of Year, Teaching and Associate Staff, Students and Parent/Carers

Overarching Roles and Responsibilities
To monitor the attendance email and phone-line, and update the school systems accordingly
To collate all evidence related to authorised/unauthorised absence including absence requests To monitor and follow up missing and inaccurate lesson registers, including 'Student Missing' alerts
To collect information and collate reports as and when required
To print out daily fire registers
To complete Child Missing in Education forms as required
To report all Transition Plans to FAP (Local Authority)
To complete 'Returns' every 10 days of absence, to go to the local authority
To work with Warwickshire Attendance Service to identify concerning attendance patterns
To update the 'Days Lost' spreadsheet on a weekly basis
To update the 'Suspensions and PEX' spreadsheet as necessary
To create student attendance/punctuality reports as and when required
To provide attendance and administrative support to the school as and when required
To monitor the late door each morning and be responsible for Late Detentions
To provide SLT with a pick up list for Detentions before lunch
To undertake home visits when necessary
To ensure the DfE have accurate attendance statistics
To provide the Headteacher with a termly attendance report before LAB meetings.
To provide appropriate information to Senior / Pastoral Leaders before parental meetings.

- Individuals have a responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people they are responsible for or comes into contact with. Safeguarding
- To ensure that all students have a safe environment in which they can learn, reporting any concern about the environment to a member of the site team or if appropriate to one of the Designated Safeguarding Leaders
- To be aware of systems which support safeguarding and following the procedures as highlighted in the Safeguarding Policy
- To identify students who may benefit from early help as soon as possible and discuss this with one of the Designated Safeguarding Leaders
- To consider at all times what is in the best interests of the child
- To protect students from maltreatment; preventing impairment of students health or development; ensuring that students grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care
- To take action to enable all students to have the best outcomes
