About Us:Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy, part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust are seeking to appoint a permanent full time Attendance Officer.

Situated in the beautiful Darley Abbey area on the outskirts of Derby, Saint Benedict is the city’s only Catholic Secondary school. We serve a wonderfully diverse community of students who come from over forty countries around the world and who come from all parts of Derby and beyond.

Role Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Attendance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and improving student attendance across our academies, working closely with students, families, and school staff to promote a positive culture of attendance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track student attendance data across the academies.
  • Identify patterns and trends in attendance and work with relevant stakeholders to address issues.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding attendance concerns and support them in improving attendance.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement strategies for improving student attendance.
  • Prepare and present attendance reports to senior leadership and governing bodies.
  • Support the implementation of attendance policies and procedures.
