What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an Attendance Officer to ensure that daily attendance information is as up to date as possible, and to undertake first day calls to families where a student is not in the Academy. You will also be required to verify the reason for absence, carry out home visits (you will need access to a vehicle and full UK driving license is required), log all voice mail messages and telephone calls, and to keep Pastoral Managers informed of any attendance problems, long term and persistent absences or lateness. You will work closely with the safeguarding, pastoral and inclusion team. You will work with the local authority to process any attendance penalty warnings/notices or further legal actions.
