Join Our Team as an Attendance Welfare Manager

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Attendance Welfare Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the effective application of government policy on attendance, while also addressing safeguarding concerns that impact pupil attendance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyse student attendance and engagement, taking appropriate action where necessary.
  • Liaise with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) on safeguarding concerns.
  • Work with students and their families to address attendance issues, providing accurate attendance and safeguarding information.
  • Line manage the Attendance Officer and ensure the smooth operation of attendance processes.
  • Conduct home visits and lead parent meetings to set and review attendance targets.
  • Generate and analyse attendance reports, identifying trends and setting improvement plans.
  • Develop and lead strategies to promote good attendance with rewards linked to an internal house system.

Person Specification:

  • Essential: GCSE English and Mathematics grade C/4 or above, excellent communication and organisational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Desirable: Experience in a similar role, knowledge of attendance regulations, and a full clean driving licence.
