AVP-Culture & Ethos job summary

As AVP - Culture and Ethos, you will be at the forefront of embedding our school’s values into daily life, ensuring every student feels seen, heard, and inspired. Your leadership will span across:

Tutor Time & Enrichment

  • Design and deliver a purposeful tutor time programme
  • Lead assemblies and coordinate inspirational guest speakers
  • Promote a culture of reading and literacy across the school

Admissions & Transition

  • Oversee Year 6-7 transition, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience
  • Manage admissions and appeals with integrity and transparency

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead transition days and events that build community
  • Champion student, staff, and parent voice through structured feedback
  • Curate the school’s social media presence to reflect our ethos
  • Organise and host parent evenings and morning engagement sessions

Attendance & Inclusion

  • Drive attendance strategies with a focus on early intervention
  • Champion equity for disadvantaged groups including:
    • Pupil Premium (PP)
    • Free School Meals (FSM)
    • Children in Care (CIC)
    • Special Educational Needs (SEN)
    • English as an Additional Language (EAL)
