About St Leonards, Heath and Reach, VA Lower School
St Leonard’s is a community VA (Voluntary Aided) Church school and has strong links with both the Church and the village. There are 110 children aged from 4 – 9 years in the school and they are distributed between five classes.
The school is a very successful one with both 2011 Ofsted and 2017 Church Inspections judging us to be ‘an outstanding school’, one which is ‘very welcoming and ensures outstanding care, guidance and support for its pupils.’
We place a strong emphasis on the personal development of all our pupils and the care and guidance given by staff is outstanding, with Christian values underpinning all we do. All applicants will be expected to be committed to this ethos and also be able to show initiative and be genuinely committed to working with or alongside children.
