Behaviour and Inclusion Support Lead job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational person to join our support team.

We have a relentless focus on working to provide the best possible support and care to each and every one of our students to ensure that they reach their full potential.

You will be joining one of the top performing non-selective schools in the local area, We have a strong focus on high standards and aspirations, built around the simple message that supporting students is the most important thing we do.

The successful candidate will work 37 hours per week, term time only, including training days.

Core Purpose

  • To lead the Behaviour and Inclusion support team.
  • To lead the implementation of inclusion and support strategies relating to our Reflect, Thrive and Engage provision.
  • To coordinate the internal behaviour support provision (Reflect), liaising with other support and teaching staff on student progress, allocation of student work and recording of any other interventions.
  • To coordinate the internal SEMH support provisions (Reflect, Thrive and Engage), ensuring high quality implementation of planned curriculum programmes and high standards are maintained across all provisions.
  • To support the development of provision and resources to enable it to meet the wide range of needs of a diverse group of pupils, ensuring that the pupils further develop a sense of belonging and improve attendance of identified pupils.
  • Lead the administration and record keeping relating to Reflect, Thrive and Engage.
  • To further develop and deliver strategies designed to ‘change behaviours’, reducing the number of fixed and permanent exclusions and leading to improved attendance.
  • To collaborate with subject teams to ensure that student entitlement to an appropriate curriculum is met
  • To collaborate with SEN, Achievement and Support teams to ensure that the provision for all pupils is appropriate.
