What skills and experience we're looking for
Poplar Farm is a new school which opened in September 2018. We are a warm, caring, inclusive and vibrant school where pupils are at the heart of every decision we make. Poplar Farm pupils are happy and confident, they are problem solvers, open minded, resilient and motivated to learn. We have a generous school site, with creative, bespoke learning areas both inside and outside.
The school is part of CIT (Community Inclusive Trust), a Multi Academy Trust comprising of special and mainstream primary schools across Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.
We are looking to appoint - a Behaviour, Relationships and Learning Mentor, someone to provide support for those children who need extra help in overcoming barriers to learning such as, lack of motivation; disaffection; poor attendance; emotional difficulties; behavioural difficulties.
We are looking for someone who:
- Can contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive ethos.
- Promote development and learning (emotional, educational and social).
- Foster growth, self-esteem and independence for pupils.
- Deliver bespoke interventions to small groups or individuals.
- Run a behaviour and relationships lunchtime club.
