What skills and experience we're looking for

  • This is a permanent, full-time appointment, effective from 1st September 2024, with a salary payable from MPS1-UPS3. Applications are welcome from teachers at any stage in their career including Early Career Teachers.
  • We are seeking to appoint a committed & enthusiastic teacher who enjoys working as a member of a team and is constantly seeking ways in which they can improve on their current practice. A positive attitude towards the use of IT is essential.
  • Experience of teaching a science to A-Level while desirable is not essential. Candidates who do not have experience of A-Level teaching but who would like to develop this aspect of their practice are encouraged to apply.
  • In addition to the offer of teaching Biology from years 7-13 the successful applicant may be required to teach another science to KS3 or GCSE depending on the skills of the applicant.
  • All students complete separate sciences at GCSE and large numbers go on to thrive at A-level in a well-respected and supportive department.
