What skills and experience we're looking for

This is a permanent, full-time appointment, effective from 1st September 2024, with a salary payable from MPS1-UPS3. Applications are welcome from teachers at any stage in their career including Early Career Teachers.

We are seeking to appoint a committed & enthusiastic teacher who enjoys working as a member of a team and is constantly seeking ways in which they can improve on their current practice. A positive attitude towards the use of IT is essential.

Experience of teaching a science to A-Level while desirable is not essential. Candidates who do not have experience of A-Level teaching but who would like to develop this aspect of their practice are encouraged to apply.

In addition to the offer of teaching Biology from years 7-13 the successful applicant may be required to teach another science to KS3 or GCSE depending on the skills of the applicant.

All students complete separate sciences at GCSE and large numbers go on to thrive at A-level in a well-respected and supportive department.
