The Science Faculty is a team of teachers, support assistants and technicians who are all committed to ensuring that students develop their full potential in science and enjoy learning. The staff team is a mix of experienced and newer staff whose specialisms cover the three disciplines. All are hard-working, enthusiastic and flexible. Staff are keen to develop professionally and there are frequent development opportunities both within science and the wider academy

We’re looking for a passionate, engaging and innovative Biology Teacher to bring our team to the next level, either a keen ECT looking to develop their expertise with support from a motivated team, or an experienced teacher ready to put their stamp on their teaching offering.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Establishing a stimulating environment for all students, setting challenging targets that build on prior attainment

• Working with colleagues to develop Biology offering in line with the vision and ethos of the Academy

You’ll bring:

• A passion for delivering engaging teaching and learning experiences, fostering a deep love of Biology in our students

• A willingness to get involved in all activities in the department, including clubs and trips, and supporting our Eco-Warriors group
