Before/After School Assistant 

Start date: ASAP

Casual Zero hours position

£13.28 per hour plus £1.60 holiday pay

Billingshurst Primary Academy is committed to providing high quality child care for all children who attend before and after school provision and wishes to appoint some Casual Before/After School Club Assistants.

The successful candidates will: 

Have experience of delivering imaginative and innovative activities to children;

Be expected to ensure the provision offers a safe and stimulating play environment;

Assist in the administration of the club, keeping relevant records and ensuring that the agreed club procedures are implemented;

Prepare and serve meals;

Supervise mealtimes;

Ensure the safe collection and transportation of children between their classrooms and the club;

Ensure that areas are clean and cleared at the end of sessions;

Communicate and liaise with parents;

Have a passion and motivation for improving the lives of all children;

Have an optimistic attitude and be flexible to the demands of the job;

Demonstrate versatility, tact, commitment and the ability to use initiative;

Be patient and able to stay calm and listen and value children’s views;

Be able to work as part of a team and be expected to contribute to its development;

Have the ability to strictly maintain confidentiality;

Have experience with some behaviour management techniques.
