What skills and experience we're looking for
- Educated to GCSE standard including Maths & English.
- Up-to-date First Aid and Paediatric First Aid Qualifications.
- Ability to provide support for pupils; ensuring their safety, welfare and pastoral needs are met.
- Experience of managing a team of staff.
- Experience of working with primary-aged children in a childcare, education or play setting.
- Awareness of behaviour management strategies appropriate for primary-aged children.
- Experience of delivering engaging activities for children.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and an ability to use IT effectively.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and handling confidential information.
- An interest and commitment to work-related training.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to cope with and adapt to change.
- Ability to work with other team members and to contribute imaginatively to team development.
- Ability to work co-operatively and flexibly within a team.
- An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection.
- Ability to act and work on own initiative.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities and procedures when working with children.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately to unexpected situations.
- Strong record-keeping and data-entry skills.

We are highly over-subscribed, friendly and welcoming two form entry Voluntary Aided Church of England primary school in the heart of Winchmore Hill, close to The Green and the overground train station.
The school has a Christian ethos which is celebrated and incorporated in to the daily life of the school. The school has a strong community feel and is well supported by parents. There is an established senior leadership team in place and staff are welcoming and friendly.
