Breakfast Club Play worker job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and caring person to assist our Breakfast Club Lead to support the new free morning provision. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring children start their school day feeling safe, happy and ready to learn.

You will support the lead in the day-to-day organisation and smooth running of the breakfast club, providing a warm, stimulating and inclusive environment for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities

Support the daily operation of the Breakfast Club under the direction of the Lead

Provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for children

Deliver a range of age-appropriate activities

Prepare and serve healthy breakfast options, adhering to food hygiene standards

Promote positive behaviour and support children's social development

Ensure safeguarding, health and safety policies are followed at all times

Assist with accurate registers and communication with school staff and parents

Ensure the space is clean, organised and welcoming

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with primary-aged children

Be confident supporting a small team or working independently

Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills

Be energetic, caring and committed to supporting children's wellbeing

Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection

Hold (or be willing to obtain) a Food Hygiene and First Aid certificate
