Breakfast Club Team Member job summary

Main duties and responsibilities

Welfare:

To organise or administer first aid, medicine to pupils as required, in keeping with the Academy’s policy

To liaise with Parents regarding pupils’ sickness/injury

To assist with the safeguarding of pupils

Wrap-Around Provision

To be a friendly and professional of contact for face to face enquiries and interactions

To take messages where appropriate

To ensure school security arrangements are always complied with, including the signing out of children

To provide hospitality, care and support for children

To engage in play with children and/or to provide opportunities for immersive and engaging play

Catering

To support in the preparation and provision of food eg. cereals, toast, yoghurts.

To ensure the preparation and cleaning of the food preparation area

To complete Level 2 Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness courses

General

To participate in the performance and development review process, taking personal responsibility for identification of learning, development and training opportunities in discussion with line manager.

To commit to confidentiality, safeguarding and equality in line with school agreed practices

The duties above are neither exclusive nor exhaustive, and the post holder may be required by the Headteacher to carry out appropriate duties within the job, skills and grade.
