Building Maintenance Officer job summary

You will support the overall maintenance and security of the School buildings by carrying out general caretaking duties including opening and closing the school. This includes internal hall floor polishing, keeping the paths and all areas children and adults use outside clean, tidy and safe.


The role includes site maintenance such as minor repairs, decorating, light bulb changing and other similar tasks.


You will be required to complete statutory checks and keep files for emergency lights/legionella/COSHH etc and will be required to attend training courses. It is essential that you have at least 1 years’ practical experience in building maintenance, heating, ventilating, electrical or similar work. The school uses the compliance package Every for routine tasks, training on use will be given.
