What skills and experience we're looking for
The role includes;
- Finance – planning, monitoring and evaluating the school budget
- Premises/site management
- Line management of the Administration and Premises Teams
- Management of Health & Safety and Risk
- Human Resources, providing support, guidance and recruitment
The successful applicant will have;
- The ability to lead, organise and motivate staff
- Experience of financial planning, financial management and budgetary control
- Excellent computer skills including software relating to finance, Excel, Microsoft Office suite and Google drive
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills including the ability to use their own initiative
- A cheerful and positive attitude, with the ability to remain calm under pressure

As a result of the retirement of our current Business Manager, we are looking to appoint someone who is enthusiastic, flexible, highly motivated and committed to taking a leading role within Team Athelstan, to take up the position from Easter 2023.
The ideal applicant will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team and work closely with the Headteacher. They will be responsible for operational functions within the school including finance, human resources , premises and health and safety.
This is an exciting, challenging and diverse role which will provide the successful candidate with opportunities to develop their own skills and to support the school.
