CAREERS CO-ORDINATOR
Reports to: Head of Careers & Cultural Connections / SLT
Contract: Fixed Term (1 year in the first instance)
Term-time only (39 weeks plus 2 additional weeks to be agreed across the academic year, to include A’Level Results day in August)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (8:00am - 4:30pm)
Salary: Scale 5 (Points 22-25) - £34,000 - £36,319 pro rata
Actual Salary: £30,841 - £32,944 per annum

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Careers Co-ordinator to join our high-performing team, recently recognised by Ofsted for delivering an excellent careers programme.

From guiding students through university and apprenticeship applications to providing the administrative support to make work experience, careers guidance and employer trips come to life, your work will play a vital role in broadening horizons, raising aspirations, and improving life chances.
This role could be an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to begin their career in a professional educational environment. Combining business and administrative responsibilities with the opportunity to work with young people, it offers valuable experience in a busy school setting and the chance to develop strong organisational, communication and professional skills.
You’ll be part of a small, supportive team with a strong reputation in the community, united by a shared commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success.

Hammersmith Academy (“the Academy”) (www.hammersmithacademy.org) is a state-of-the-art, non-denominational, all-ability, co-educational secondary school for 11-18-year-olds. Sponsored by City of London Livery Companies; the Mercers’ Company and the Information Technologists’ Company, the Academy opened in September 2011 and has now grown to approximately 950 students on roll.
