What skills and experience we're looking for

The role is varied and will include many different activities and responsibilities, including:

● Security of buildings, including securing the school sites at the end of the day.

● General routine maintenance, undertaking minor repairs for which general handyman skills are essential.

● Arrange routine and statutory testing to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.

● Compliance with Health and Safety regulations, IOSH certified or willing to undertake training.

● Liaise with contractors, monitor contracts and ensure they adhere to rules around school.

● Carry out porterage and event set up.

● Undertake other duties as referenced in the job description.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be positive, self-motivated, able to work independently and part of a team and in a proactive manner. You will also need to have an understanding of IT and the ability to learn about systems related to running the school, including heating, security, and fire alarm systems.
