What skills and experience we're looking for
Kineton Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, efficient, flexible and reliable person to the role of caretaker. To work in our busy school, you must be positive, hard-working and have a strong commitment to upholding high standards of maintenance and care. The core hours will be 7:30am to 10:30am. There is some flexibility with holiday hours.
We require someone who will love and care for our school as much as we do. You will be responsible for security, general maintenance work and repairs, health and safety issues relating to the buildings, cleaning and porterage duties. You need to be able to undertake basic maintenance of heating, lighting, plumbing and security systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. It is essential that you are capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting and carrying of equipment and materials. During the summer months, part of the role will involve preparing, checking and maintaining our on-site outdoor swimming pool.
The successful candidate will undertake statutory checks including daily/weekly/monthly recording where required, along with being a key holder and attending emergency call-outs for the school.
