Caretaker job summary

We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and hardworking Part-Time Caretaker to help maintain our premises to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys a varied, hands-on role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Opening and securing the premises as required.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Ensuring buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and well-presented.
  • Monitoring health and safety standards and reporting any concerns.
  • Liaising with contractors and service providers when necessary.
  • Setting up rooms and facilities for meetings and events.
  • Undertaking basic gardening and outdoor maintenance duties.

  • The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous caretaking, maintenance, or facilities experience (preferred but not essential).
  • Be practical and able to carry out minor repair work.
  • Possess good organisational and communication skills.
  • Be dependable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
  • Have a strong awareness of health and safety requirements.
