Caretaker job summary
St Raphael the Archangel CMAT are looking to recruit a Caretaker. This is a permanent, full time position, working 37 hours per week, all year round (52 weeks), working a split shift from 7 - 9.30am and 1 - 6pm (Monday to Thursday) and 7 - 9.30am and 1.30 - 6.00pm (Friday). Shift times are negotiable during school holidays. This role is based at St Marie's Catholic Primary School and Nursery, Rugby working across both the Dunchurch and Merttens Drive sites.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of maintenance and facilities management services, ideally in a school setting
- Be able to work under broad direction and laid down procedures
- Be responsible for managing caretaking and cleaning services to all buildings forming the school site, ensuring a safe and secure environment
- Be responsible for undertaking minor or temporary maintenance and repairs
- Have experience of advising and reporting on all aspects of site maintenance, including risk assessments and COSHH
- Possess strong organisational, time management and interpersonal skills
- Contribute to the school’s statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
- Be sympathetic towards the aims and ethos of our Catholic School
