This is an exciting opportunity for someone flexible, enthusiastic and energetic who takes pride in their work to join our friendly and hardworking team as a Caretaker.

You will be responsible for maintaining the school’s high standards of cleanliness and organisation. We are looking for a team player who is also happy to be a lone worker. You will work under our Business Manager and have cleaning, maintenance and Health and Safety responsibilities delegated to you.

Wicklewood Primary is a small school in a friendly village with happy and well-behaved children.

The main duties will include:

·      Being responsible for keeping the school clean and tidy to a high standard.

·      To lock the school daily. (Mon – Fri).

·      To be available to unlock/lock the premises for pre-planned visits during holidays.

·      The secure and safe operation of the school site.

·      Making general risk assessments and regular equipment checks, attending any necessary meetings to discuss any Health and Safety matters.

·      Carrying out a variety of DIY tasks and general repairs.

·      Ensuring the site is safe accessible for staff, parents and pupils including during the snow season.
