About us and the role

Are you a responsible and practical individual who enjoys working in a school setting?

We are seeking a reliable and organised Lettings Caretaker to oversee the opening, closing, and smooth operation of our school facilities during community lettings periods. This role will be based at Avanti Court Primary School, Redbridge.

The Lettings Caretakers will report to the Head of Business Services and will be responsible for holding keys to the Trust, opening and closing the facilities, and managing bookings and equipment.

An ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and delivering solutions to problems that may arise during bookings and available to work evenings and weekends.

The number of working hours may also increase or decrease depending on the amount of use taking place at the Trust during community lettings periods. All duties and responsibilities are subject to review.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing Multi Academy Trust with schools based in London, the midlands and the Southwest of England.

What will you do?

  • Open and close the premises for scheduled bookings, ensuring security
  • Maintain equipment and ensure facilities are clean, tidy, and presentable
  • Perform basic cleaning after events and liaise with contractors as needed
  • Check facilities after bookings to ensure standards are met and address any issues
  • Provide excellent customer service, including showing clients around and resolving queries or complaints

  • A good understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
