Casual Mobile Site Facilities Person

About the Role

Venn Academy Trust are seeking a reliable and practical Casual Mobile Site Facilities Person to support the smooth running of our schools across the trust. This is a flexible, casual role, ideal for someone who enjoys varied work, problem-solving, and supporting safe, well-maintained learning environments.

You will work across multiple school sites, under the direction of the Trust Estates Manager, providing cover and support as needed, including during absences, peak periods, or special projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out routine site checks and basic maintenance tasks

  • Supporting opening and closing of school sites when required

  • Ensuring school buildings and grounds are safe, secure, and well-presented

  • Responding to minor repairs, health & safety issues, and ad-hoc requests

  • Supporting compliance with health & safety and safeguarding requirements

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Practical, hands-on, and able to work independently

  • Flexible and willing to travel between sites (a full UK driving licence is essential)

  • Reliable, punctual, and professional at all times

  • Confident carrying out basic maintenance and caretaking duties

  • Comfortable working in a school environment with children and young people

Previous experience in caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
