What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant to join our friendly and highly effective catering team at Eastfield Infant and Nursery School. The hours will be 11.20am -1.30pm Monday-Friday.
The core purpose of this role is to provide effective support to the Catering Manager through assisting in preparing food to a high standard, serving food to staff and pupils and clearing away after service.
We are seeking an individual who:
- Has the ability to maintain a high standard of general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory and school regulations.
- Has the ability to assist with basic food preparation, simple cooking and serving meals safely.
- Has good interpersonal skills and will enjoy working with children and as part of a team.
Experience of working in this field would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be given, including completion of the Level 2 Food Hygiene Certification.
