Working pattern

Full time: 37.5 hours per week spread across 4 days (excluding Wednesdays) You must be available for occasional flexibility to cover evening restaurant sessions and events between 8am-8pm. This is a term time only position working 36 weeks per year.

£20,620 to £21,624 (salary to be pro rated depending on start date)

What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Experience working in a professional catering, hospitality or commercial kitchen environment.
  • Understands food safety, hygiene and health & safety requirements.
  • Can organise workloads effectively and work independently.
  • Takes pride in maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
  • Has good communication skills and enjoys working with people.
  • Confident using basic IT systems and digital record-keeping tools.
  • Level 2 Food Safety qualification.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients, resources and equipment for practical classes and demonstrations
  • Support teaching staff during practical lessons and restaurant service
  • Manage deliveries, stock control and store food and consumables
  • Maintain professional kitchen and restaurant facilities
  • Promote high standards of food hygiene, health and safety and housekeeping
  • Support learners in developing professional behaviours and industry expectations
  • Assist with events, open evenings and curriculum activities
