Catering Assistant job summary

St John Bosco Catholic Primary School is looking for a Catering Assistant from 1st November 2026 or as soon as possible to:

*Assist the kitchen team to prepare and serve healthy and nutritious meals

*Follow and adhere to Health and Safety and Food Safety processes.

Bishop Chadwick Education Trust safeguards and protects its students and staff by being committed to respond in accordance with South Tyneside Child Protection Procedures. Enhanced DBS checks are mandatory for all school staff.

Salary - Pay Scale 2, SCP 3-4

Start date: 1st November 2026 or as soon as possible provided all necessary pre-employment checks have been completed.

Previous catering experience would be preferable.
