‘Think Differently’ to inspire young people to overcome all barriers and achieve their dreams.

This is the Vision Statement of James Brindley School.

Do you want to have a positive impact on some of the most vulnerable children’s lives in Birmingham?

Do you want to work in an organisation that recognises the benefits of a good work/life balance for their workforce?

Do you want to work in an organisation that invests heavily in CPD and allocates additional training days to develop their staff?

If you have answered ‘yes’ to all these questions, join our team!

This is a particularly exciting time to join James Brindley, the founding school of the newly established Think Differently Education Trust. This marks the beginning of a bold new chapter for our community, opening up fresh opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and professional growth across Birmingham. By joining us now, you’ll be part of shaping a progressive trust from the ground up — helping to drive meaningful change for our young people while developing your own career in a supportive and ambitious environment.

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the provision of full administration and non-teaching support service to the Trust and being the first point of contact at the centre for all telephone enquiries and visitors, ensuring that Safeguarding procedures are carried out at all times. You will work with the Attendance Officers and Pastoral Managers to record and follow up young people’s non-attendance and ensure this is reflected accurately on the Management Information System.

The successful candidate will have experience in general administration using Microsoft Office packages and database applications, in addition to reception work, and is able to communicate effectively and accurately both verbally and in writing. You will have the ability to complete work, including preparing confidential reports, to the required standards of accuracy. The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of people and the ability to prioritise workload are also essential along with a good standard of education including A* - C in English and Mathematics or equivalent.

If you’re application is shortlisted, you will be contacted via email within 2 to 3 days of the closing date. Please ensure you check your junk/spam inboxes.
