Closing Date: 5 October 2026 - 9am

We are seeking to appoint two ambitious, resilient and exceptional teachers to lead our new Alternative Provision Hubs as Centre Managers. One role will be based at Somercotes Academy and one based at Louth Academy.

As part of Lincolnshire's Better Belonging Strategy, Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust is proud to be opening two Local Authority commissioned Alternative Provision Hubs. Each Hub will provide education for up to eight pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education, alongside a small number of academy pupils accessing targeted intervention and short-term support placements. These pioneering provisions will play an important role in supporting vulnerable young people, strengthening inclusion and helping to shape the future of Alternative Provision across the trust and Lincolnshire.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to become a founding leader within one of Lincolnshire's first mainstream Alternative Provision Hubs. The successful candidates will have the unique opportunity to establish a provision from its inception, developing the culture, curriculum, systems and relationships that will underpin its success. Working alongside academy leaders, Trust colleagues and Local Authority partners, Centre Managers will play a leading role in shaping inclusive practice within their academy, influencing provision across Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust and contributing to the future development of Alternative Provision and inclusion across Lincolnshire. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference to the lives of vulnerable young people whilst helping to define how high-quality, inclusive education is delivered across academy, Trust and county-wide systems.

The Centre Manager will lead a dedicated team of staff and play a pivotal role in working collaboratively with Curriculum Leaders, academy leaders, the Trust, Local Authority colleagues and external agencies to ensure that pupils receive a high-quality educational experience through an ambitious, flexible and personalised curriculum. The successful candidates will deliver and model excellent teaching through whole-class, small-group and individual learning, ensuring pupils access meaningful qualifications, personal development opportunities and successful next steps.

We are looking for experienced practitioners and leaders who demonstrate a strong belief that every child can succeed, regardless of their previous educational experiences. The successful candidates will have experience of working with vulnerable young people, including those who have experienced trauma, adversity or disrupted educational journeys, and will be committed to helping pupils rebuild confidence, develop resilience and re-engage successfully with learning.

It is crucial that the Centre Manager creates a nurturing, structured and aspirational environment built upon trauma-informed, restorative and relational approaches. The successful candidates will hold ambitious expectations for all pupils and establish a culture where inclusion, belonging, high standards and positive relationships are at the heart of everything they do.

Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust is committed to its values of Excelling, Creating and Caring. We are already working to embed trauma-informed principles and relational practice across our academies and it is essential that the successful candidates champion these approaches, building strong, trusting relationships with young people and their families to create safe and successful learning environments.

As Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads, the successful candidates will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and a range of professionals to ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, pastoral care and support for some of the most vulnerable young people in our communities.

The Centre Managers will have a significant impact upon the lives and opportunities experienced by young people across East Lindsey and beyond. Working alongside supportive academy and Trust leaders, they will help establish two flagship provisions that demonstrate the very best of inclusive practice and educational excellence.

Our ethos is one of uncompromising ambition, high expectations and exceptional care. We place a strong emphasis on inclusion, personal development and pastoral support and seek leaders who share our determination to provide the very best opportunities for every young person to thrive personally, socially and academically.
