Chief Financial Officer (CFO) job summary
The purpose
At Fioretti Trust, we believe every child and every adult should flourish, everyday. Across our eight Church of England primary schools in Birmingham, our values of Aspiration, Wisdom and Compassion aren’t just words on a wall; they shape how we lead, how we support our schools, and how we treat, and interact with each other.
We’re looking for a Chief Finance Officer who wants more than a finance job. Someone who wants to be part of our journey: helping headteachers focus on what they do best, giving our trustees the confidence that comes from rock-solid financial leadership, and continue to build a Trust that is financially resilient and doing right by every child.
About the role
The Chief Financial Officer is a senior executive leader of the Trust, responsible for strategic financial leadership and ensuring the Trust's resources are used effectively to deliver the best possible outcomes for children and young people. The CFO ensures financial strategy is closely aligned with educational priorities and that the Trust maintains the financial strength, resilience and capacity required to achieve its long term ambitions.
As principal financial adviser to the CEO and Board of Trustees, the CFO provides clear, independent, evidence-based advice and challenge, supporting the Accounting Officer and Trustees in fulfilling their responsibilities under the Academy Trust Handbook. The CFO leads the Trust's finance function, combining strong financial control with effective business partnering across all schools.
We’re open to a part-time arrangement for the right candidate, with a minimum commitment of 3 days per week, if this is you, please state this on your application.
