Chief Financial Officer job summary
The purpose of the role is:
- To lead The Keys Academy Trust (TKAT) day to day financial operations and performance of the Trust and to undertake the role of Chief Financial Officer as outlined in the Academy Trust Handbook
- To take the responsibility to ensure that the Trust’s resources are managed efficiently, ethically, professionally, with integrity and confirming to all internal and external regulatory requirements and in a sustainably sound manner
- To monitor financial performance against expectations and external benchmarks
- To ensure that both the Trust and schools in the Trust adhere to all deadlines for submission of returns and publication of statutory information.
- To contribute to the vision, values and development and success of the Trust
The successful applicant will:
- Have a recognised accountancy qualification e.g. ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA
- Have experience of working within a Multi Academy Trust
- Have an understanding of company and charity finances including governance, accounting and reporting requirement
- Have an understanding of the educational agenda including current national policies and the statutory and legal framework governing multi-academy trusts
- Have the ability to respond to changing priorities and demands

The role is based in the Trust Central Team at Earley St Peter’s CE Primary School and there will be a requirement to travel to the schools across the Wokingham/Bracknell area.
