Church-School Link Practitioner job summary

Thank you for taking the time to consider the role of Church-School Link Practitioner. This role is the fruit of a near twenty-year relationship between Hope Hamilton School and Church and two specific funding streams. We are looking for the right person to work 15 hours a week, one full day in school, half a day for the Church and then 2-3 hours on a Sunday morning, this is an all year round contract (not term time).

The role is funded by the Diocese of Leicester’s Intercultural Worshipping Communities project and the Church of England’s Growing Faith Learning Hubs project. As such, it is a time-limited and specific role for the purposes outlined in the job description. We think it is a really exciting project, and hope to be able to fund it for an additional year beyond the two-year current funding.

To apply for the role, please fill out the application form and write a covering letter, no more than one side of A4. In the letter, please outline what excites you about this role and why you are a good candidate for it. Please pay close attention to the duties and responsibilities in the job description and share any relevant experience you have. Please note the following special factor in particular: experience of working in diverse settings and/or across a range of cultures is essential. Experience of working in a specifically intercultural context is desirable, but a willingness to learn and engage in the principles of intercultural churches is essential.
