Sandy Lane Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Class Teacher to join our team from September 2026.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience working within a primary school setting
  • Demonstrates excellent teaching, behaviour management and classroom practice
  • Has a strong understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Uses assessment effectively to support pupil progress
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Shares our values
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

As a Class Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress
  • Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external agencies
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school
