- Have a clear understanding of what effective teaching and learning looks like and can deliver it consistently;

- Be able to work well in a team; be enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable;
- Be able to liaise effectively with parents and build excellent relationships with children and their families.

Thorpe Acre Junior School is looking for a passionate, highly skilled, full-time class teacher to deliver high-quality lessons to a mixed Year 5/6 class for the duration of a maternity leave, whilst successfully nurturing and inspiring our children. We welcome applications from experienced teachers and ECTs.
We are a popular, vibrant and friendly school, graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted (May 2023), where children are at the heart of everything we do.
Commitment to safeguarding

This post is eligible for a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 & 2020) (i.e. it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated under Part 5 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006. Therefore an enhanced DBS check for a regulated activity (including a barred list check) is an essential requirement.
