An opportunity to work at Lowe’s Wong Infant School who cater for approximately 170 children between the ages of 4 and 7 situated in the cathedral town of Southwell. Lowe’s Wong Infant School is an all-inclusive school with a passion for encouraging our children to become independent and effective learners in all areas of their life. We manage this through delivering a fun and engaging curriculum.

The Governors wish to appoint a Key Stage One Teacher to join their highly committed team from January 2027. This is a permanent, part time position for two days a week, (Thursday & Friday). Applications from ECTs or experienced teachers are welcomed.

The successful candidate will:

  • be enthusiastic and passionate about providing high quality education for children;
  • hold high and clear expectations of the children in terms of their academic progress and social wellbeing;
  • have a clear approach to teaching single or combined year groups whilst maintaining high levels of challenge;
  • demonstrate the ability to accelerate children’s learning through careful assessment, clearly targeted feedback, and inspirational teaching;
  • be well motivated and committed to working as part of a team;
  • provide a stimulating, safe, and happy learning environment;
  • be committed to supporting and contributing to the school ethos, vision, and values.
