Blackmoor Park Infant School and Kindergarten is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reflective and ambitious Class Teacher with responsibility for English and Phonics, supported by a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) payment.

About the role:
As a class teacher with leadership responsibility for English and Phonics, you will:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to your own class, with a commitment to raising standards for all learners.
- Lead the strategic development of English and Phonics across the school, ensuring a consistent and ambitious approach from Nursery to Year 2.
- Work closely with senior leaders to monitor and evaluate teaching, learning and progress in English and early reading.
- Support and coach colleagues in the effective teaching of English and systematic synthetic phonics, including delivery of whole-school CPD.
- Inspire a love of reading and writing in pupils, helping them to become confident communicators and enthusiastic readers.
- Be proactive in driving improvement, using data, pupil voice and current research to inform practice.
- Work closely with the Director of English for The Three Saints Academy Trust.
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Is an excellent classroom practitioner, with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Has a particular passion and expertise in English and phonics, with a deep understanding of how young children learn to read and write.
- Has experience of delivering or leading high-quality phonics provision, ideally using Read Write Inc.
- Demonstrates high expectations for all pupils and a commitment to inclusion.
- Is reflective, resilient and committed to their own professional development.
- Has the drive and capacity to lead, motivate and inspire others.
