What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors seek to appoint a creative, inspirational and committed teacher. We are a recently SIAMS inspected excellent Church of England Primary school and we wish to appoint a candidate who will uphold our Christian ethos of enabling all to “let their light shine”.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Outstanding classroom practice.
  • Excellent behaviour management.
  • The ability to work effectively and contribute positively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate good (or better) curriculum and subject knowledge.
  • The willingness to develop effective subject leadership skills.
  • The ability to foster positive relationships with children, parents, staff and governors.
  • Drive, ambition and high expectations with a commitment to improving outcomes for all children.
  • A proven record as an outstanding creative classroom practitioner and be passionate about education and raising standards across the school.
  • A desire to be creative and positive whilst retaining a key drive on basic skills development.
  • The ability to embrace change, reflect and strive for improvement in own professional practice.
