What skills and experience we're looking for
We are searching for someone who is a skilled classroom practitioner, is passionate about teaching, is able to contribute to the development and implementation of the school’s ambitious curriculum and is able to empower all learners to grow their talents and flourish as unique individuals.
We would welcome applicants who will support our Christian values and work hard to achieve the best possible outcomes for our pupils by helping them to grow their talents.
The successful applicant will:
- Have excellent understanding of and commitment to safeguarding
- Have secure knowledge and commitment to inclusion
- Be an experienced teacher
- Have excellent knowledge of the national curriculum
- Show evidence of leading a curriculum area and raising standards of teaching and learning (D)
- Understand the features of high-quality teaching
- Have knowledge and understanding of effective strategies to manage the behaviour of pupils
- Be a creative and inspirational teacher
- Be full of enthusiasm, warmth and energy with a good sense of humour
- Work well as part of a team
- Be well organised with excellent communication skills with all stakeholders within the school community
- Be ambitious, proactive and self-driven with a strong commitment to developing your own professional practice and the professional practice of colleagues
- Promote the school’s Christian ethos, vision and values of the school
- Be willing to contribute to the wider whole school life (D)
