Bulwell St Mary’s Church of England Primary & Nursery School is seeking to appoint an outstanding class teacher who is committed, caring and passionate about making a genuine difference in children’s lives. This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming and inclusive Church of England school, rooted in strong Christian values of respect, forgiveness, friendship, courage, honesty & creativity.

At Bulwell St Mary’s, our Christian vision is at the heart of all that we do. We are deeply committed to serving our local community and ensuring that every child is known, valued, and supported to flourish academically, socially and spiritually. We are looking for a teacher who not only strives for excellence in the classroom but also shares our belief in educating the whole child and making a positive contribution to the wider community we serve.

You will join a dedicated and supportive team who work closely together to live out our Christian ethos every day, building strong relationships with pupils, families, the church, and the wider community.

We are a happy, inclusive, single-form entry school in the City of Nottingham and part of Transform Trust, a forward-thinking multi-academy trust comprising 26 schools across the East Midlands. Our ethos is rooted in our School Christian Values and our strong Take Care approach, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a consistently good or outstanding primary teacher.

• Truly wants to love and serve our local community.

• Is passionate about teaching and learning and committed to every child’s success.

• Cares deeply about children’s development while driving forward progress and achievement.

• Values teamwork and enjoys sharing skills and ideas with colleagues.

• Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with pupils, families, staff, governors, and the wider community.

In return, we offer:

• A welcoming, supportive school community and a highly motivated staff team.

• Excellent professional development opportunities through Transform Trust and school-based initiatives.

• Calm and purposeful learning environments.

• Strong partnerships between pupils, staff, parents, governors, and the local community.

• Career progression opportunities within a successful Multi-Academy Trust.

If you are passionate about teaching, driven by a desire to serve others, and keen to work in a school where faith and learning go hand in hand, we would love to hear from you.

Visits to our school are warmly welcomed. Please contact the school office to arrange a time.

We believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially. To help children reach their fullest potential in these areas we provide an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking and invites the sharing of ideas.

Teachers at Bulwell St Mary’s are committed and dedicated to improving themselves and the children they teach. They create lessons that foster opportunities for individual discovery so that there is a passion developed for learning that is contagious and inspires success.

We are a Church of England school that focuses on a key value each half term. This allows our children to grow as individuals and interact positively with each other in all situations they encounter. The values are a way of life rather than a set of rules to be followed which allows our children to become respectful, thoughtful, content and HAPPY.

Community participation plays an important role in promoting our children’s learning. We provide many opportunities to involve parents and carers from an early age.

Parents and carers are welcomed in to school as volunteers they are also encouraged to join an active PTFA who work hard to provide enrichment opportunities for the children at Bulwell St Mary’s.

We look forward to supporting you along your journey.
