Class Teacher job summary

At Bedgrove Infant School, we are renowned for our EYFS provision where 86% of our F2 children achieve their GLD. Our Key Stage 1 children continue to make excellent progress through Year 1 and Year 2, securing better than expected outcomes at the end of Year 2.

We are committed to supporting teachers to be the best they can be and nurturing potential leaders to develop their skills beyond their own classroom.

We are looking for at least an M3 teacher to join one of our teams and lead a Foundation subject across the school. We have an established curriculum in place, ensuring progression in all subjects both across each year and from one year to the next and there is structured support for subject leadership with dedicated staff meeting time and release time to undertake selected monitoring tasks.

About the school: Bedgrove Infant School prides itself in developing children academically, physically, emotionally and socially by providing outstanding opportunities for learning through play. With hands on, real life experiences children are able to make sense of the world in which they live.

About the role: We are looking for exceptional Class Teachers or Trainees with a track record of highly effective teaching in KS1 classes. The Teacher is responsible for delivering learning in accordance with the agreed school curriculum based on school strategy and national guidelines.

About the candidate: What we are looking for:

Exceptional class teachers with a track record of highly effective teaching .

A good understanding of the EYFS and/or KS1 curriculum.

Engaging teachers who motivate the children to learn.

Team players, who will both support and learn from team planning in a four-form entry school.

Creative, organised, calm, unique individuals who have a good sense of humour and understand the complexities of working in a large, busy school.
