What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governing Body of Stonehouse Park Federation are seeking to appoint an excellent, full time, class teacher who is committed to providing consistent learning and development within a nurturing learning environment.

This is a challenging time for Park Junior School and a fantastic opportunity for an experienced class teacher wishing to further develop their career and demonstrate their leadership potential by raising standards.

The successful candidates will be prepared to work hard and respond positively to the challenges of day-to-day school life. They will be solution focused and embrace the changes and commitment needed to ensure rapid improvement.

The post attracts a TLR3 for at least the first year. This is for contributing to school leadership in an area in which the candidate has significant strength. We are looking for strong core curriculum leadership and the ability to model consistent high quality practice in the classroom.

What we are looking for?

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to enthuse and motivate children using a variety of ways so that all children can access their learning and become independent learners
  • Show an excellent understanding of assessment and how to use it to inform the next steps of learning
  • Be a reflective practitioner who is able to adapt and improve their own practice
  • Be a team player who has strong interpersonal skills
  • Have a good understanding and awareness of SEND and is able to use a range of strategies and adaptive practice to support all children’s needs
  • Be trauma informed with an understanding of restorative practice
  • Is able to recognise their own development needs and is proactive in seeking support and committed to their own professional development
  • Contribute towards the inclusive, open and supportive ethos of the school
  • Build positive relations with parents through gaining an understanding of their views and working in collaboration with them to support their children
