The governors and leadership of William Ford C of E Junior School are looking to appoint an inspirational and outstanding teacher with the enthusiasm and drive to live up to our high expectations to deliver a positive impact on student outcomes.
The school’s curriculum intent is set around the idea of ‘purposeful learning, engaging activities,’ a curriculum where children have a real or fictional purpose to the learning or are working towards a purpose at the end of the unit.
William Ford is an exciting and nurturing place to work. The school has been on a significant improvement journey yet, despite the rapid pace of change, our latest survey showed 100% of staff agree that they are proud to work at William Ford with over 95% either strongly agreeing or agreeing that the school is well led and managed. Within our recent staff survey comments include:
•
“Work life balance is the best I have seen in a school.”
• “Much has happened to improve work life balance including generous leadership release, reducing marking and having leaders available to support in class. Generous absence and TOIL policies.”
• “The Senior leadership team always support staff well in managing the children’s behaviour, they give planning time to take the pressure off of not having enough time to plan for lessons. They have implemented a new marking scheme where staff members complete reflection sheets to reduce the time it takes to mark all of the children’s books.”
Our curriculum intent has received national interest, with the school presenting at various conferences. This could be your opportunity to join our wonderful team and make a difference to pupils who face many challenges yet are excited to attend school and learn each day.
All applicants must be supportive of the Christian ethos of the school.
You will need to be:
•
An excellent classroom practitioner
•
Have high expectations of your pupils
