What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors of Broadoak Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated, outstanding Class Teacher on a Fixed Term contract to cover for a maternity leave. The successful candidate will work within our dedicated team of staff and will be required to maintain the school’s high standards of academic achievement, alongside excellent pastoral care. This post will be in Reception Class.

We wish to appoint someone who:
- Is an excellent classroom teacher with high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour
- Has a desire to uphold and actively promote the school’s vision and values
- Has excellent subject knowledge
- Is professional, self-motivated and an excellent communicator, who works well as part of a team
We wish to appoint someone who will:
- Successfully work in a year group team
- Have a passion for planning learning that is exciting and engaging and that allows children to develop a life-long love of learning
- Enthuse and motivate children to learn and progress to their full potential
- Work successfully as part of a team and be committed to participating in all aspects of school life

Located in Swinton, Manchester, Broadoak Primary is a heavily over subscribed school with nearly 500 children including a 60 place full-time Nursery. The school converted to a Single Academy in 2011 and achieved Ofsted Outstanding in 2009.
