What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Are you an experienced teacher (post-ECT) with recent successful key stage 2 experience?
  • Want to work in a high-performing school with pupils whose behaviour was judged as outstanding by Ofsted?

What the school offers its staff

The role

We seek a successful teacher with recent Key Stage 2 experience to work at our excellent school. You will work in a supportive environment and help maintain our high standards that were recognised at our recent Ofsted inspection in October 2024.

The school

Aston Tower is a popular two-form entry multi-cultural school that serves a community which really values and supports our work. We have friendly, responsive and enthusiastic children whose attitudes to learning were described as ‘excellent’ by Ofsted along with their ‘outstanding’ behaviour. Our staff team are skilled, caring and committed; trustees are keen to be involved and are highly supportive. The school is very well resourced. Our well-kept modern premises are set in spacious grounds which lend themselves to being further developed to promote our pupils’ learning. We enjoyed a highly successful Ofsted inspection in October 2024 and recently opened a DfE designated resource base for SEND pupils with autism.

Candidates are invited to discuss this opportunity with the Headteacher.

Commitment to safeguarding

Please note, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates. In addition to the candidate’s ability to perform the duties of the post, the interview will also explore issues relating to safeguarding, promoting the welfare of children and, any relevant issue which may arise from the references.

Aston Tower MAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and individually take responsibility for doing so.
