Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives? John Henry Newman Academy is seeking a dedicated Class Teacher to join our welcoming, supportive school community.

As part of the Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust (ODST), we work closely with our sister school, St Christopher’s Cowley. The school is conveniently located just off the Oxford ring road (no congestion charge).

The role

  • Teaching within a key stage team

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, inclusive lessons rooted in our values of Love, Courage, Celebration and Community

  • Promoting our vision: ‘Let Your Light Shine’

  • Assessing, tracking and supporting pupil progress

  • Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities

  • Supporting pupils’ pastoral needs and building positive relationships with families

  • Working collaboratively within the ODST family

  • Participating fully in CPD, meetings and whole-school events

  • Maintaining safeguarding and training compliance
