Class Teacher (Maternity Cover) job summary

We have an opening for an enthusiastic, resourceful teacher to cover a maternity period within our team.

We are an ambitious, forward-looking school, persistent in delivering our vision of ‘broadening horizons’ for the children and families we serve. Our children are a delight; they’re engaging and hard-working, polite and well behaved. The school is beautifully presented and well resourced. The community is both positive and supportive. You will be joining a committed team of adults who enjoy working together. The role is divided between a Year 3 and a Year 4 class. Working 3 days per week (0.6) - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

All levels of experience will be considered (although less suitable for ECTs). You’ll be able to demonstrate potential and a desire to develop. You’ll be a fun and inventive team player, excited about working alongside other brilliant professionals.

Further information about the job

If you're interested in teaching or training to teach in England as an international citizen, we can help you understand your next steps.

Commitment to safeguarding

All safeguarding concerns are dealt with seriously and urgently. Sometimes the school will need to contact Children’s Services for advice and this may lead to further action.

We follow the government’s PREVENT strategy, to safeguard against radicalisation and extremism.

The school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Whilhelm de Neve and in his absence, Sarah Walker or Emma Harding.

The school follows safer recruitment procedures.
